Applegate Trail Museum  Next door to the Old Town Hall is The Applegate Trail Interpretive Center and Museum.  This museum is one of the best pioneer museums of its size around.  It features artifacts and a short movie telling the story of the first immigrant wagon train to travel the southern route of the Oregon Trail known as the Applegate Trail. The museum is also packed with displays pertaining to gold mining, the stageline, and the railroad.

T & R Stables: Tom and Rose Johnston, our nearest neighbors, offer overnight stabling of horses.  Their beautiful ranch is just across the road from our campground.  They are listed in the “Nationwide Overnight Stabling Directory” as 1 of only 3 equestrian overnight stabling facilities on I-5 in Oregon.  They offer 12×14 stalls with 50′ runs and round pen.  The Johnston’s can direct you to the BLM riding trails nearby. Reservations can me made by calling Tom or Rose Johnston at 541-474-2516 or emailing them at  TandRStables@msn.com
