Rogue River Trail:  Sanford has hiked this trail for days and we have enjoyed its beauty in all seasons with our children and friends.  We highly recommend seeing part of the Scenic Rogue River from this trail that follows it downstream from Graves Creek.

Grants Pass Growers Market:  A fabulous place to buy fresh local, organic produce and local crafts.

Raft the Rogue River:  A fun way to to experience the wild and scenic Rogue River.

Pottsville Museum and Pioneer Town: Just 8 miles south of Sunny Valley you can see thousands of items commemorating Oregon's history at Pottsville through an Outdoor Exhibit and Museum and Pioneer Town.  The Annual Father's DayOld  Engine Pull and Tractor Show drawns a huge crowd every year provide fun for all ages.

Historic Wolf Creek Inn: For a charming retreat into the past head north from Sunny Valley 5 miles where you can enjoy a delicious meal in Oregon's oldest continuously used Inn located in the small town of Wolf Creek.  The innkeepers can share the quaint history of the inn and you can tour the well maintained building and grounds which were purchased by the State of Oregon in 1975 for historic preservation.

Golden, Gold Mining Ghost Town:While in Wolf Creek don't miss the opportunity to visit the real Oregon Ghost Town.of “Golden”.  Travel just a couple of miles east on Coyote Creek to the mining town established in 1890.  The Golden Community Church, though abandoned and a bit weathered since its erection in 1892, is still open to visitors.  Other buildings and a small graveyard are scattered nearby.
